GREEN AWARD FOR FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION

Communication and Environmental Engineering students of 15 universities applied to the competition organized in the categories of  Packing Wastes, Hazardous Wastes, Renewable Energy, Electronic Wastes, Waste Oils to raise public awareness. The film of Media and Communication students' ‘Geri Dön’ has been awarded with the first place  in Packing Wastes category among the short films that are evaluated in terms of scenario, cinematography, drama and message. In the competition where 21 films are evaluated, among all the categories, the short film shot by 2nd grade students Begüm Uysalefe and Sinan Göksan, and 1st grade students Beste Başar and Celal Aydınlıoğlu became the second in Environment Oscars. The students received their awards on June 11, 2010 in the ceremony that took place in REW İstanbul Fair and brought another award to İzmir University of Economics, Faculty of Communication.
