HE WANTED GOOGLE AND GOT IT
Murat Yatağan, who is 25 years old, managed to be one of the Turkish workers in Google.
After completing his education at İzmir University of Economics Department of Computer Engineering, he did masters at İzmir Institute of Technology and involved in the academic staff at İzmir University of Economics. Murat Yatağan, whose dream was to work in Google since he began to get education in Department of Computer Engineering, made application online. After the negotiations that lasted six months, Yatağan came to an agreement with Google to work in Ireland. During this process, Murat Yatağan went to Ireland as the guest of the company and made 11 interviews via video conference.
The young software developer stated that he was very happy and excited to have found a job in a company that he always dreamed of and said, “Google is a company that every software developer would like to work. I will go back to Ireland, where I lived before for a while during Erasmus. Ireland is a center of software in Europe. I am very proud to be one of the few Turks that work for Google.” Yatağan stated that there were interesting and motivating articles as well as a high salary in the contract that he signed with Google and said, “For example, there are masseurs in the offices. There is unlimited food and beverage facility all day and night at the office. You can even take the food to home. There are all kinds of opportunities while you work.”
Yatağan underlined that his aim was to rise in Google and said, “I refused the offer I took from Siemens in the same day. I preferred to be one of the few Turkish employees of the company known worldwide. I believe that the young brains raised in Turkey especially in computer field should represent our country in such leader institutions. I advice my friends to keep their targets up and make applications without hesitating.”
