ERASMUS STUDENTS PREFERRED İZMİR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS
38 students being educated at İzmir University of Economics studied abroad as ERASMUS student in 2009-2010 academic year and 27 students studied at İzmir University of Economics.
İzmir University of Economics that expended its boundaries with its internationalization target in 2010-2014 strategic planning gave weight to agreements with foreign universities. İzmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin stated that they had made ERASMUS agreements with the best universities of Europe and said, “The studies made about both the dual diploma programs and education abroad are very important for our university. Students are getting education in the universities abroad with ERASMUS agreement and the number of these students increase each year. However, what is also important is that there are lots of foreign students preferring our university."
Until today, with ERASMUS agreement, 46 İzmir University of Economics students got education abroad and 68 foreign students studied at İzmir University of Economics. Students have chosen France, Austria, Holland, Germany and Portugal to get education in ERASMUS programs and İzmir University of Economics have been preferred together with the universities in Holland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Scotland and France.
