ASSOC. PROF. YETKİNER BECAME THE PRIDE OF TURKEY
Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences lecturer Assoc. Prof. Hakan Yetkiner, who won the scholarship that is granted to only 4 lecturers in Turkey until today will make researches in America from September 06 to 27. Assoc. Prof. Hakan Yetkiner will also make a speech on macro economic developments in Turkey in 30 years in the seminar that will be organized in New York on September 28. Assoc. Prof. Hakan Yetkiner preferred a 3-week scholarship rather than a semester scholarship due to his duty at İzmir University of Economics and said, “I will have a very busy program in 3 weeks. I will work on my “Advanced Macro Economics” book that I prepare in English. İzmir University of Economics Department of Economics PhD students will be able to follow the innovations in macro economics.”
Assoc. Prof. Hakan Yetkiner stated that the scholarship was gained by very few lecturers in Turkey saying, "We had an important academic success not only for İzmir University of Economics but also for Turkey. It is very pleasing. Only 4 lecturers in METU, ITU and Bilkent University won this scholarship. I am very proud to have won this scholarship in the name of my University. But, what is more pleasing is the experience I will receive academically and share with my experiences with PhD students at the end of the scholarship."
