TRADITIONAL OPENING WITH THE PRESIDENT SÜLEYMAN DEMİREL
2010-2011 Academic Year of İzmir University of Economics will start on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 with the attendance of the 9th President of Republic Süleyman Demirel just like every year.
9th President of Republic Süleyman Demirel, who has been participating in the opening ceremony of İzmir University of Economics since its foundation, will give the first course of the 2010-2011 academic year. There will be wreath-laying ceremony at 09.00 at Cumhuriyet Square and the opening ceremony will continue in İzmir University of Economics Conferece Hall with the participation of the 9th President of Republic Süleyman Demirel. Following the speeches of İzmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin and İzmir University of Economics Board of Trustees President, President of Republic, Süleyman Demirel will give the first course of the 10th Academic Year.
Following the first course given by the President of Republic Süleyman Demirel, İzmir University of Economics Folk Dances and Music Clubs will present the show named “Sparkles from the Turkish Culture Mosaic” under the leadership of General Art Director Alaskar Abbasov.
