IUE REPRESENTED TURKEY
İzmir University of Economics School of Foreign Languages represented Turkey in the European Union Project entitled LANQUA (The Language Network for Quality Assurance), in which England, Poland, Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Latonia and Spain take place.
In the scope of the project that lasted 3 years and completed on July, the quality criteria of the institutions that give language education in European countries are assessed and the standards for the continuity of the quality are determined. In the project that İzmir University of Economics took place in the name of Turkey, important works are done in foreign language education. Assistant Director of the School of Foreign Languages Assoc. Prof. Bahar Gün stated that they were very proud to represent Turkey in such an important project, she said, “The project comprised a long-running study. 9 countries made important studies on foreign language education for 3 years. We have determined how the quality of education should be. It was very important for us to take place in this project. The project will make a great contribution to İzmir University of Economics.”
Following the group studies and assessments, the country representatives traveled Ephesus and Şirince and they said that they were very impressed by İzmir.
