THEY THREW THE DUST FROM SCENE
One of the newest theatres of İzmir, called ‘’ Sahne Tozu’’ was established by Çağlar İşgören and Mehmet Çiftçi,students of Haldun Dormen. They put on Moliere’s play ‘’The Miser’’ at Izmir University of Economics. The impressive performance of young actors won audiences over.
‘’The Miser’’ one of the well known works of Moliere the founder of Modern Comedy Theatre, famous playwright and actor, came alive at the scene of Izmir University of Economics. Gökhan Kocaş, a student of Izmir University of Economics at the department of Media and Communication, put on an impressive performance. The play makes people laugh and think at the same time with the funny antics of the character Harpagon: a man who does not care anything except money and being very rich and at the same time miser.
The play directed by Çağlar İşgören and Çağrı Turnalı took stage within the context of Compass Programme which is executed for the aim of promoting cultural, artistic and social activities this year.
