ROMANIAN CORNER TOOK ITS PLACE IN THE LIBRARY
Izmir University of Economics Library put into service Romanian Corner after French, Greek and American Corners.
There are books, written and visual materials concerning Romanian, in the corner which has been created to introduce Romanian culture in Turkey and develop relations of two countries. Romanian corner in the library will give service both for students and all other library users. The opening ceremony of Romanian Corner has been done by Izmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Sezgin and Romania Izmir Consul Cosmin Lotreanu. Having stated that they are very happy to have such a corner at Izmir University of Economics, Consul Lotreanu said ‘’this is a great beginning. The basic information about Romania will be in this corner. We will increase number of materials in next periods.’’
Having had approximately 100 hard copies, Romanian corner will have much more materials and will provide to reach more information. Izmir University of Economics Library gives service to 5 million people with its 38138 hard copy, 91190 books (53052 electronic). Apart from these there are 250 hard copies and 48550 magazines in the library which is open to everybody.
