EKOSEM WILL MAKE SMEs IN IZMIR HAPPIER
The pilot trainings and curriculums of Business to Business Vocational Education with Trade Certificate (B2B) project, financed within the scope of European Union Leonardo Da Vinci Transfer of Innovation, will be prepared and conducted by Izmir University of Economics Continuous Education Center (EKOSEM).
With the EU project of “B2B”, it is planned to increase the activities of SMEs in Izmir. It is also aimed to transfer commercial transactions of SMEs into business to business dimension and to reach large masses of people via website by preparing a vocational training program. While Izmir Chamber of Commerce and ITC-Europe in Belgium are project leader and coordinator, respectively, Grenoble Chamber of Commerce, Grenoble Ecole de Management, EBILTEM in Ege University and Ministry of Industry and Trade as a silent partner also participate in this project.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Yiğit Kazançoğlu, EKOSEM Director, stated that the content of the education project was prepared in line with the analysis report applied to SMEs in Izmir. He also added that “Based on the project of Business to Business Sale Institute successfully applied by French project partner, the applied education program was prepared in line with the requirements of SMEs. While 25 SMEs participated into the first pilot training given by EKOSEM, SME owners and workers received their certificates at the end of the free training. With the questionnaires to be prepared at the end of the second training given online, it is planned to revise and develop the content of training.”
The B2B education program will cover Foreign Trade, E-Trade, Management Information Systems, Marketing Management, Customer
Relations and Creative Sale Techniques trainings. In the online training platform, there will be videos, presentations, course notes and mini tests about distance education. SMEs can apply EKOSEM and EU Desk in Izmir Chamber of Commerce for more information about B2B training.
