DEANS SIGNED COOPERATION PROTOCOL
Faculties of Engineering Platform of Universities in Izmir signed a protocol in order to cooperate in carrying out scientific projects and preparing common cooperation projects.
7 deans of Faculties of Engineering in Izmir participated in the protocol ceremony, hosted by Izmir University of Economics. The ceremony started with the opening speech of Prof. Cemali Dinçer, Vice Rector Responsible from Academic Works, and deans signed the cooperation protocol. As a result of the protocol signed with Ege University, Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir Institute of Technology, Yaşar University, Izmir University and Gediz University, under the presidency of Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences Dean Prof. Turhan Tunalı, cooperation can be carried out in projects and R&D studies.
Prof. Tunalı stated that this platform, established with the participation of all deans of Faculties of Engineering in Izmir in 2010, is an important step for common cooperation. He also emphasized the synergy of this cooperation and added that “This platform in Izmir signed this protocol in the fourth meeting. I believe that it is an important step for universities. In our meetings, we share our problems and troubles and present solutions. We try to increase the quality of education. With this protocol, universities will carry out important projects by cooperating with themselves. This protocol is not only important for Faculties of Engineering but also for Izmir.”
