AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY FROM TURKEY'S FIRST AIR CAMERAWOMAN
Özge Deniz Özker working as photograph studio technician at Fine Arts and Design Faculty of İzmir University of Economics won a prize at Erciyes University Documentary Film Festival. Graduated from Anadolu University Cinema and Television Department, Özge Deniz Özker worked successfully in various fields ranging from air camerawoman to director and authorship and lastly won a prize at 4th Erciyes Documentary Film Festival.
The documentary entitled ” Denize Bakan” supported by Ministry of Tourism and Culture won a honorable mention from the festival which is orgnized by Communication Department of Erciyes University for the 4th time. Also having an M.A degree in design studies, Özge Deniz Özker had a very important success at her first film shotting trial. Özker succeed in various fields in sector, and she also has the privilege to be the first air camerawoman in Turkey.
Telling that by working as an air camerawoman she learnt much Özker goes on”I worked as an air camerawoman for a long time since I graduated from Anadolu University in 2004. Air camerawoman/manship is very rare. And also İt was very honorable for me to me one of the air camerawomans in Turkey . During the time I worked as air camerawoman, I shot BTC pipe line from Adana Ceyhan to Kars for 8 months. After working as a camerawoman in different places of Turkey, I worked in various positions like editing director and vice director and at the same time I got my parachute licence. Along with these, it is really satisfactory to win a prize with my first documentary”.
Won a prize by “Denize Bakan” which is a documentary on lighthouses, Özker also wrote “Zizi’s Dreams” a children’s book published by TUDEM and presented to public at Frankfurt book fair in 2008.
