FUTURISTIC TOUCHES TO THE HISTORICAL BAZAAR
Students, who have been working on “Kemeraltı” themed projects during 2010-2011 academic year, have redesigned the historical bazaar by modernizing it. The Department of Architecture students, who opened the exhibition in Kemeraltı befittingly with their theme, stood out with their different designs.
Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Head of Architecture Department Prof. Dr. Gülsüm Baydar has stated that the projects have been very successful in terms of their perspective and presentations. She continued to say, “Last semester we worked on Ege Neighbourhood as a project and organized our exhibition in that neighbourhood. There were so many positive remarks. It has been such a nice motivation for our students; therefore we wanted to exhibit the Kemeraltı projects in its vicinity. I would like to congratulate our students and our lecturers. It has been a very successful performance.
The “Kemeraltı” themed exhibition of Department of Architecture students may be visited at Çetin Emeç Art Gallery by October 9th.
