IUE IS AMONG THE BEST UNIVERSITIES
Izmir University of Economics has successfully entered the list of “The Best 2 thousand Universities in the World” announced by METU URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Lab. Universities have been evaluated by their performances with a research conducted for the first time in Turkey and a list of the best universities worldwide has been generated.
According to the URAP lab results, Izmir University of economics, in its 11th Academic year, has taken its place along with the leading universities of Turkey and has become a world ranking university. 67 universities from Turkey ranked among 2 thousand universities worldwide and Izmir University of Economics is one of the 10 foundation universities in Turkey. IUE has made it among the 4 universities that have been added to the list this year and has become the first foundation university from Aegean Region on the list.
Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Sezgin has stated that, Izmir University of Economics has accomplished a lot in a short time with the intention of becoming a world university. He has said that, “IUE has been added this year to the list generated by URAP. The success as a result of our studies to improve the quality of our education during Bologna Process has made us very significant not only in Turkey but also among the world universities. Even though we’ve only been established for 11 years, we are ranking among the essential universities in Turkey and worldwide. This achievement fills us with pride”.
