PEDALS ARE TURNING FOR IUE
The Bicycle Club set up this year by Izmir University of Economics is extending its limits by actively taking part in so many activities in a short time.
IUE Bicycle Club, which was inspired by Perşembe Akşamı Bisikletçileri (Thursday Night Cyclists) and also part of the same team, organized their first tour to Belkahve on September 9. The Club, which was set up by School of Foreign Languages French Instructor Utkan Boyacıoğlu and Department of Culinary Arts Management sophomore student Ercan Aydın, reached one hundred people in no time. Boyacıoğlu stated that the purpose of the club was to integrate the bicycle culture into the university. He said that, “We want to make our club the most active club among university clubs in Izmir. Our club, which was established in August, made its first tour in September. Our next big tour will be to Çanakkale Martyrdom on March 18.”
