DISTINCTION OF GERMANY IN HIGHER EDUCATION
A briefing was held by Izmir University of Economics, School of Foreign Languages, and Department of German Language for students who wish to have higher education and improve their language skills in Germany.
Students were briefed on “Higher education and scholarship opportunities in Germany” by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Izmir Consultant Karin Schmidt. German Language Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Mesbah indicated that DAAD is an official organization that represents German universities. She said, “Our purpose is to provide scholarship for students who stay in Germany to improve their German language skills. Also, to inform our students who want to have masters and PhD degrees and/or do academic scientific research there. The meeting, which was also held at the previous years, drew lots of attention.”
