GRADUATION EXCITEMENT AT IUE

Izmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin made the opening speech, and said, “We never gave up Atatürk’s principles and reforms, especially secularity, while raising you. Our direction was always “Modern Civilization Level” that our leader pointed out and we aimed “Perfection” all the time. You are the first products of our progress towards this aim.”

Izmir University of Economics Board of Trustees President Ekrem Demirtaş stated that they aimed to offer the most qualified education and said, “We aimed to raise keepers of the democratic, secular order that are interactive, learns to learn, uses the things s/he learned, knows two foreign languages, entrepreneur and most importantly adherent of Atatürk’s policies. We are glad to see that the students, the lecturers, the administrators, the board of trustees, every one of us are successful.”

After the speeches, the diploma of the University’s honor student Melek Akın, Department of Business Administration and International Trade and Finance double major student is presented by IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin and Board of Trustees President Ekrem Demirtaş. Alumni Association President Püren Bacakoğlu attached the pin of the association to Melek Akın.

Barış Serkan Kopurlu the graduate of Finance Economy Program became the honor student of Graduate Programs; Huriye Yangöz the graduate of Public Relations became the honor student of Vocational School.  

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Asım Güzelbey presented his son, graduate of Department of Computer Engineering Güven Güzelbey’s diploma to him. The ceremony in which 68 Graduate, 187 Undergraduate and 56 Vocational school students are graduated ended with the students throwing their caps into the air. The participants in the Open-Air Show Center also accompanied the cheer and excitement of the students by applauding them.
