LOCAL HEROES OF IZMIR
Izmir University of Economics organized a movie workshop within the scope of “4 Seasons 4 Colours Workshops” conducted by MODE Istanbul Digital Arts with collaboration of Bornova Municipality.
Department of Media and Communication lecturers Andreas Treske, Serkan Şavk and Alper Gedik took part in “Local Heroes of Izmir” themed documentary movie workshop. General coordinator of the project was Gökçe Su Yoğurtçuğlu of MODE Istanbul. 15 movie fans with different educational backgrounds and different experiences attended the workshop. The participants, ages 15-30, discussed documentary movies and developed their own project ideas on the first two days of the workshop. Participants shot videos in groups at various locations of Izmir on the next three days of the workshop.
The editing of the movies was completed on the last two days of the workshop and the workshop ended with presentation of four short documentaries.
