VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN WILL BE DISCUSSED ON THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA
Izmir University of Economics, Gender and Women Studies Research and Application Centre (EKOKAM) will hold an International Gender/Violence conference on April 4-6. The conference will be organized in collaboration with “Şapka Takımı” of IUE Faculty of Communication students.
EKOKAM, which was established in 2009 in order to raise awareness on gender issues, is bringing gender and violence issue to the table, one of the most discussed topics of Turkish agenda lately. There will be workshops on raising awareness as well as panels about body, location, and politics. There will also be various performances throughout the conference.
Prof. Dr. Evans stark of Rutgers University will be the moderator of the 3 day-long conference where he will make a presentation on Violence in the Family.
