THESE COSTUMES ARE ALMOST REAL

The 4th Cosplay Convention, which was organized by Izmir University of Economics Anime -Manga Club, hosted participants from various cities in Turkey. 200 young people from various universities competed with their distinctive costumes.

The costumes, which are inspired from the characters in anime, manga, games, and films unique to especially Japan and Far East, attracted great attention at the Cosplay Convention that was attended by participants from primarily Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara. The young people had good time and enjoyed themselves with dance performances and various activities at the organization that is widely spreading worldwide.

Egemen Çakıl, President of the IUE Anime-Manga Club, stated that they held the organization for the fourth time this year, and the participation increased each year.   He said, “We are planning on repeating the organization with different activities throughout the year since it attracts great attention. Big Conventions, in other words, big cosplay festivals, that involve cosplay photo shoots, video shoots, dance performances, contests, karaoke, games, and film presentations, are spreading widely worldwide.”
