WE ARE READING BOOKS
Izmir University of Economics-Volunteers Club came together at an event, titled, “We are Reading Books”. 25 members of the Volunteers Club read books and magazines together on campus grounds as part of the event.
The volunteers gave the message “Books can be read anytime, anywhere as long as you want it” at the event which was planned for students after their classes were over. Deniz Ötenen, President of the Volunteers Club, pointed out that the habit of reading among the society gradually decreased. She said, “The biggest excuse for people who do not read is not having enough time. Even though our friends are surprised to see us reading, we want to prove that books can be read anytime, anywhere. From now on you will be seeing us reading books as groups at various locations on the campus.”
