IUE STUDENTS WILL LEARN ABOUT BUSINESS WORLD FROM “ENTREPRENEURSHIP MASTERMIND”
Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) are reaching their career goals steadily. Students of IUE will benefit from the experiences of Hüseyin Ozer, known as “Entrepreneurship Mastermind” who is one of the richest men worldwide through his restaurant chains, Sofra and Ozer, he established in England. Başak Yavuz, student of IUE Faculty of Communication, Department of Cinema and Digital Media, and Okan Dikiş, junior student of IUE Department of Culinary Arts and Management, will gain important experiences that will shape their future in England for 4 months as part of Erasmus Student exchange program. Yavuz and Dikiş will also engage in cultural and social interaction with young people coming from all around the world.
Ozer stated that he admired the education and the quality of the University after attending a conference titled “Entrepreneurship Dream” organized by IUE Alumni Association. Hüseyin Ozer asked the Alumni Association management to provide an opportunity for the youth where he could demonstrate his accomplishments on-site. Ozer, who said, “I will return to London with many nice memories and stronger ties to the youth of my country” at the conference, will provide important insight to Dikiş and Yavuz about business world.
Cengiz Ulken, Chairman of the IUE Alumni Association which was established in order to provide a continuous relationship with the University and its graduates, and to provide support to professional and scientific lives of its members, said that the scientific and qualified education they received at IUE had a tremendous effect on entering the business world. Ulken said, “We as the Alumni Association try to support our members with their career plans. Programs offered by the University intended for their development play a major role in realizing their career plans. Thanks to the education offered by scientific, qualified, and expert faculty members, the students easily adapt to business world after they graduate. We will continue to work hard to open new horizons for our graduates and students”.
Başak Yavuz, who will take part in media and public relations campaign for Sofra & Ozer Restaurants through Erasmus internship, stated that she had a great opportunity with the organization of Alumni Association, and expressed her gratitude.
