DESIGNER YANKI GÖKTEPE WAS THE GUEST OF İZMİR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS
Göktepe, who has designed collections for FY, Fiore and Alfemo presented examples from his works and he spared a particular time for the showroom design of By Kepi Company. In this part that the head designer of the company Interior Architect Demet İridere also contributed, the conceptual approach that forms the reference point while designing the place was summarized.
Information is given about the atmosphere trying to be created in the place, the special materials that support this atmosphere and the way that these materials are applied.
After this part that the students watched with attention, the project and application process of Mausoleum of Ord. Prof. Ekrem Akurgal that Göktepe executed with Asst. Prof. Yavuz Seçkin are told. They showed how to make special steel moulds used for the application of the design.
İzmir University of Economics Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design seminars will continue with native and foreign speakers each Monday during 2008-2009 academic year.
