DREAMY WEDDING DRESSES AT THE BRIDAL FAIR

IUE fashion designers come into mind when it’s time for IF Wedding Fashion Izmir - Wedding Dresses, Suits, and Evening Gowns Fair, an organization bridal industry gets ready for all year long where students reach out to the industry with their designs. This year, Tuğçe Görgülü, student at IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design, will be displaying her designs under the collection titled “Düş Bahçesi (Dreamland)” to the giants of the fashion world on February 9 at 19.00.

Firdevs Tülin Gülhan, graduate of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design, became in first place at the same contest in 2015 and displayed her designs at the performance fashion show. This year, Görgülü will be displaying the first designs of her career at the 11^th fair, organized by IZFAS with the contribution of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and supports of Ministry of Economy, Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Exporters' Association, KOSGEB, Turkish Fashion and Ready Wear Federation, and Mimar Kemalettin Fashion Center, that will take place on February 7-10, and bring together the professional participants and the industry together.

’28 - piece collection’

Görgülü, who gave information about her collection, stated that she had been getting her designs ready for one year. “My 28-piece collection includes 8 evening gowns and 20 wedding dresses. I mostly used silk, chiffon, 3D lace, tulle, jacquard fabrics, satin, and fabric manipulations in my collection. I was inspired by the good feelings the spring has on us. I combined floral designs with pastel tones. And I believe the end result is plain and strong expressions,” said Görgülü.
