IUE graduate programs informative meeting attracted a great deal of attention
Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which merged four graduate schools under the “School of Graduate Studies”, in order to offer a higher quality education to its students, held an informative meeting to introduce the 35 programs being offered in 12 different disciplines. Many number of academics and students attended the meeting held at Izmir Chamber of Commerce, where the changes in graduate programs were shared in details. Students learned about admission requirements, discounts, scholarships, etc., and they had a chance to talk to the academics in person to ask all the questions they had in mind. Applications to graduate programs will be taken online until September 2.
“We have gone a step further”
Prof. Mehmet Efe Biresselioğlu, Director of IUE School of Graduate Studies, pointed out that they were happy about the heavy interest shown in the programs. Prof. Dr. Biresselioğlu said, “The whole purpose to establish the School of Graduate Studies was to highlight the interdisciplinary studies better. This new structuring will allow more personalized graduate programs. We carry the quality of education we offer a step further thanks to the self-sacrificing efforts of the divisions and the consultants. Project and case-based, blended learning approach will be at the forefront. The University is going through changes and making serious investments. We, as the School of Graduate Studies, are taking necessary steps to accommodate that.”
