Izmir University of Economics (IUE) became the most preferred foundation university in the Aegean Region by increasing its number of students 16% compared to a year ago. Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which welcomed total of new 1.736 students in undergraduate and associate programs last year, will be welcoming 2 thousand 6 more students according to Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) 2019 results. By bringing the Campus Izmir into action, a first model of university and city integration, IUE successfully gained the trust of young people. IUE Rector, Prof. Murat Aşkar pointed that uninterrupted scholarships, guaranteed internships, employment references, and global business connections offered by the University played an important role when students were trying to make university/program choices. The Rector said, “We are going to make sure we provide the students with what they need in order to help them reveal their potentials and reach their goals.”
Campus Izmir became the choice of young people, who are the future of Turkey that just left behind a very tough examination period, and got a chance to study in their dream programs. Being the first foundation university of the Aegean Region, and making major changes lately, Izmir University of Economics is committed to contribute to the arts, science, cuisine, economy, and industry of Turkey with its new students.

IUE Rector Prof. Murat Aşkar stated that they were thrilled to have welcomed new students. The Rector said, “These young people went through a tough examination period and chose us to make their dreams come true. I would like to ‘welcome’ them to Izmir University of Economics where they will always feel proud to be part of. When we think that the worldwide competition reached its peak, we know that we need to raise individuals who are open to innovations, generate knowledge, and develop ideas all the time. Both our teaching staff and technological infrastructure is designed to help reveal the great potential our students have. The University will always support its students by all means possible.”

Prof. Aşkar stated that they would be raising the leaders of the future, and scholars needed for Turkey. “Our students, in addition to their abilities, will receive high-quality education and specialize in areas they wish. They will attract attention with projects they will carry out while they are still studying. We have witnessed accomplishments of hundreds of our students until now. They became the most preferred names in the international arena and became very successful in a very short time. They made us very proud as they encouraged generations to come. I have full confidence that these new students will help create new success stories and they, too, will become our sources of pride,” said Prof. Aşkar.
