Art born out of darkness

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Visual Communication Design carried out a joint project with 6 universities abroad to develop the creativity of students who were locked down due to the pandemic. IUE students took special photos by turning a room in their home into a ‘dark room’ where light filtered through only a small hole in the project that started concurrently. 121 photographs of students using the “Camera obscura” technique have been published at https://www.instagram.com/camera.obscura.camera/. In addition to those published on social media, all the photographs taken within the scope of the project were transformed into a digital exhibition to meet art enthusiasts in the international arena.
