TECHNICAL VISIT TO ANTAKYA (ANTIOCH)-SYRIA BY THE STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN
The aim of the visit, which included Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Complex (by Mimar Sinan) (in Payas), Antakya Archeological Museum, Habib Neccar Mosque, Catholic Church, Traditional Antakya Houses, Othodox Church, St . Pierre Church, Titus Tunnel, Beşikli Cave and Harbiye-Defne in Antakya region, and Süleymaniye Complex (by Mimar Sinan), Hicaz Train Station, Hamidiye Bazaar and El Umevi Mosque in Damascus; and the ancient city of the Palmyra and the city of Aleppo
as well, was to discuss the concepts of the course at the site. The students have recorded their analysis through photographs and written notes in order to prepare a report at the end.
