They received their diplomas and threw their caps

145 students, who successfully completed their master's and doctorate education at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), received their diplomas at an enthusiastic graduation ceremony. Showing their happiness by throwing their caps into the air, the students graduated as specializing in the fields they wanted to pursue a career in. In his speech, IUE Rector, Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar said, “I believe that you will be the leaders of the future, the wise people our country needs.”

The program, which was prepared for a total of 145 students, 140 of whom are masters and 5 doctoral students, was held in the Ceremony Field on the campus of IUE. Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar, Prof. Dr. Efe Biresselioğlu, Director of Graduate School, and a crowd of academics and parents of graduates attended the ceremony. Students, who finally received their diplomas they had been dreaming for a long time, shared their happiness with their parents, friends, and teachers. Some of the graduates attended the ceremony with their spouses and children, which made it more interesting and charming.

DO NOT STOP RESEARCHING AND TRYING

Addressing the graduates at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar said, “You have received a qualified education in line with our educational approach, which we have shaped by emphasizing creativity and entrepreneurship to produce products and services with high added value. This quality education you receive from respected and very successful academics will provide you with great advantages. You may encounter some difficulties and difficult situations in life. But don't let this scare you. Because you have the knowledge to overcome every situation and to cope with every difficulty. We have trained you as highly self-confident, well-equipped people who can bring solutions to issues with different perspectives. However, never give up researching, questioning and trying just because you think your university life is over. I believe that you will be the leaders of the future and the scientists we need for a stronger and more developed Turkey. You will always make us proud with your achievements.”

DO NOT LOSE YOUR PATIENCE

Stating that a new page has been opened for graduates, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Efe Biresselioğlu, Director of IUE Graduate School, said, “Growing an olive tree is a grueling and long process. In addition, it requires an intense care from seed to harvest. The olive tree, which grows after a process that requires patience; becomes a tree that you, your children and grandchildren can be proud of. Life is such a process. Do not lose your patience while reaching the goals you set. No matter how small the steps you take, believe that one day it will be a giant step. You are the future of our country. As our Great Leader Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk said, ‘It is not enough to make big decisions. It is necessary to implement these decisions with courage and certainty.' Our greatest expectation from you is for you to work, produce, design, and research and develop for both yourself and our beautiful country with patience, care, devotion and courage.”
