CONTRIBUTE TO SCIENCE AND SOCIETY, VALUE HUMANITY
Stating that as a faculty member of Izmir University of Economics, he will work in unity and solidarity to bring the University to a higher point, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu said, “We are a very big family with 10 thousand students, 22 thousand graduates and approximately 900 teaching staff. It is a great honor for me to be the rector of such a valuable and respected university that has proven itself in the world of science and makes a difference with the success of its academics and students. Universities are the very first place where the footsteps of big changes are heard. Because universities are independent institutions that shape change, create the philosophy of change, and direct society. Accordingly; we will work with the aim of contributing to science and society, giving value to humanity. We will continue to raise well-equipped, self-confident young people who focus on production and innovation that our country needs. We will work for our university in solidarity with all levels, by joining forces. I wish the new term will be beneficial for our university, city and country.”
