Wonderful fashion show by young talents

Senior students of Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) completed their educational journey with the connected themed ‘Graduation Exhibition and Fashion Show’. The exhibition, which included the projects of the students who graduated from the departments of Architecture, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, received great acclaim. The special collection consisting of 74 pieces prepared by 15 students who graduated from the Department of Textile and Fashion Design got full marks from the fashion show audience.

The ‘Graduation Exhibition and Fashion Show’, organized by IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design since 2003, was held on campus. The projects brought to life by young people by bringing together design and technology have also been turned into a digital catalogue. The catalog featured two- and three-dimensional images and videos of the projects. In the night with intense participation, enthusiasm peaked with the fashion show prepared by the graduates of the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, which featured unique pieces. The modern designs exhibited in the fashion show, which was held with the support of Rönesans Agency, were presented to the audience. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu, deans, department heads and guests attended.

200 STUDENTS GRADUATED

Stating that they produced approximately 200 graduates as a faculty this year, Prof. Dr. Ender Yazgan Bulgun, Dean of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, said, "The graduation projects prepared by our students are the product of 4 years of hard work of both themselves and their academics. I congratulate students who have accomplished valuable and qualified projects. This year, we have determined the concept of the exhibition and fashion show as ‘connected’. We wanted to emphasize how important it is to connect with each other after very difficult times. The creative team, under the leadership of Lecturer Selin Gülden, took on very important tasks. We all worked hard with the creative team on identity design and the preparation of the visuals. We also made use of artificial intelligence. Students showed how well-qualified education they had with the projects they implemented. I am proud of all our graduates and I strongly believe that they will be successful in professional life."
