The system that connects graduates with companies

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has included one thousand 100 companies in its Graduate Information System, which was established with the goal of providing the best career opportunities for its graduates and meeting the qualified workforce needs of the business world. The system, which brings together company representatives with 23 thousand IUE graduates with just one click, provides young people with the opportunity to achieve their dream jobs. Stating that all companies registered in the Graduate Information System can quickly access information and CVs of graduates with different educational backgrounds, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu, the Rector of IUE said, “We trust our graduates and have no doubt that they will make us proud with their success”.

The Graduate Information System, which brings together Izmir Economics University graduates with leading companies in their fields, both nationally and internationally, was established in 2017. The system, which opens the doors of the business world to young people from Izmir University of Economics, has rapidly developed over time, becoming a massive digital platform that connects thousands of employers and job seekers simultaneously. Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu emphasized the importance of taking steps to connect students with the business world and create new career opportunities, in addition to providing quality education academically.

WE TRUST IN THE EDUCATION WE PROVIDE

Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu said, “We consider every young person receiving education at our University as a valuable legacy we will leave to the future of our country. We believe in our graduates, trust the education we provide, and we know the strength of the Izmir University of Economics diploma. We have more than 500 graduates who have established their own businesses abroad or become the favorites of international companies. We have graduates across 76 countries. To ensure the continuity of these successes and add new ones to these proud achievements, we are developing opportunities and possibilities for our graduates. The Graduate Information System is one of the best examples of this. The current emphasis in the business world is on the need for a ‘qualified workforce’. In addition, with the rapid changes in our era, the nature of professions is also changing. We are working to equip young people with the digital skills needed in the future. IUE graduates, who receive education with a curriculum suitable for the requirements of the era from academics with sector experience, stand out as individuals equipped with the skills of the future, responding to the needs of the business world.”

WE ARE UNIQUE AND SPECIAL

Burçin Önder, IUE Advisor to the Rector for Sectoral Relations, stated that they are working on new projects for graduates and students with the support of the 98 thousand-member Izmir Chamber of Commerce. Önder said, “What makes our University unique and special is the tightly-knit family atmosphere based on trust and love. As a result of this, we always support our graduates. Their success, the effective communication we establish with them, both strengthen us and provide motivation. With the work we will do, we will continue to shed light on the life journey of our graduates.”

Özge Kulaçoğlu, the Coordinator of the IUE Alumni Relations Office, said, “When we established the Graduate Information System, our most important criterion was to keep efficiency at the highest level. We aimed for users to derive maximum benefit, and we succeeded. The positive feedback we received from graduates proves that we have built a system that is accurate and necessary.”
