Question inspired by a chat I had with some friends. For context, I have an American online boyfriend. For the past three months, he’s been sending me $2,000 a month, completely unprompted. It’s objectively a lot of money where I live (Palawan), but some of my friends jokingly say that, for an American, $2,000 is basically nothing, like minimum wage, so he could do better.
