<![CDATA[A Chinese space rocket exploded 85 seconds after launch]]>The Long March 7A, which has completed 16 successful flights since 2020, was supposed to launch satellites into orbit, but before separating its stages, an as-yet-unknown error caused it to burst into flames.

If the engine issue is determined to be the cause, it could lead to a postponement of the Chang'e-7 lunar rover launch (in two weeks).

They are scheduled to be the first to explore Shackleton Crater at the Moon's south pole, where ice deposits may be present.
