<![CDATA[The Bog Squad: Restoring the North West moorlands]]>A wildlife trust has been restoring the moorlands after recent wild fires across the region.

In the North West, serious fires have burned in Tintwistle, Dovestones, Macclesfield Forest, and Darwen after a summer of extreme heat.

Lancashire Wildlife Trust have been on the moorland at Darwen, planting dwarf shrub plants to make the area more moist and fire resistant.
