As for the wing, he seems to be harnessed into it. With the handlebar, he can shift his weight like a hang glider amd control the wing.

I was afraid it wouldn't loop well, but I did my best finding a 15-second clip that worked. He actually only flew around up there for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
