Pleasantville is about all belief systems trapping people into being a person that isn't really who they are.</p>
<p dir="auto">The sister (Reese Witherspoon) believes she's a bad girl until she gets a chance to be herself without the outside influence. Just like the soda jerk artist (Jeff Daniels) who wants to be an artist but everyone just thinks of him as the guy who serves sodas. The movie is about the heartache and excitement of self discovery.</p>
