<![CDATA[Kansai (KIX) is not Narita: install the Japan eSIM the night before, or buy at the airport?]]>Landing KIX, not NRT. The connectivity question is the same radios, different queue.

  • Install the eSIM on hotel Wi-Fi the night before. Activation still wants a network; airport free Wi-Fi is a line.
  • Plastic IC (or iPhone Suica Mobile) for gates. A US/EU Android eSIM will not add Suica. FeliCa ≠ eSIM.
  • Dated checkout 2026-08-29: Airalo Japan 7d 5GB $10 / 10GB $17; Holafly 7d $27.50 (hotspot 1GB/day); Ubigi 10GB/7d $14. Re-check before paying. I am not quoting airport-booth yen I did not photograph.
