Maps, Translate camera, and topping up the card in the app need a data path.</p>
<p dir="auto">JR East Welcome Suica Mobile (as of March 2026): iPhone / Apple Pay, 180 days from issue, remaining balance not refunded. Most phones sold outside Japan lack FeliCa, so Google Wallet cannot hold Suica. Samsung said overseas Galaxy from H1 2027 may support it. That is not this month's phone.</p>
<p dir="auto">Dial *#06#. An EID means the phone can hold an eSIM. That says nothing about Suica.</p>
