Anyways. So. All these screenshots were taken on official hardware which I think is pretty cool. They’re not the source images unfortunately. I found when I tried to upload those they’d get smeared because 1) they were BMP files and 2) they were like 480p being upscaled to whatever resolution my phone was. So I wrote a bash script that would convert them to JPEG and then upscale them to 1080p with Nearest Neighbor upscaling to preserve the pixel art.

I spent all evening messing around in the swamp basically to catch Pokemon. I caught everything except the other daily Pokemon. I did catch Yanma though which I think is the one that was available today. I’m not sure who the others are though so I’m trying to go in blind. Even though I’m trying to be on a deadline I thought It’d be fun to stick to a blind playthrough.

Currently I’m parked outside Crasher Wake’s gym. I tackled him once and got beat on his last Pokemon so I’m gonna try and do some grinding to beat him. My battery on my DS is fried so i can’t take my DS on the go (it dies in like 30 minutes) which makes it a little harder to grind exp. Thankfully I have a replacement on the way though. Tomorrow I’m gonna tackle the gym again. And maybe also track down false swipe. It’ll be handy to have that.
