A place to share alternatives to popular online services that can be self-hosted without giving up privacy or locking you into a service you don’t control.

Rules:

    When I saw who was purchasing them I knew it was bad for the hobbyist users. QC is such a bad company. Sueing their customers because they want to use non QC chips in phones with QC chips.

    If you have a static IP where you host your jellyfin service you shouldn't need your dydns anymore. a domain provider doesn't know what you are doing. It knows you want to access jellyfin.your.domain but has no clue what you are watching or the specific URLs you are going to. Think of it like a library reference card, the library knows you want Encyclopaedia Britannica volume 12, but they don't know what you are actually looking up. I have a domain with porkbun and dont have issues. When my reverse proxy needs a new certificate I do nothing because Traefik uses the porkbun API to do the Let's Encrypt DNS validation.

    I don't have to worry about price increases or media being removed unannounced because a license expired. I have the physical media here or at my parents place.

    Other Linux OS shouldn't be an issue with the N150 chipset. I would go with the GMK. More expandable.
