Context: In 1975, the US Navy sent a rescue plane to Antarctica to pick up a research team, but the plane broke down after a rocket explosion. Then a second plane came to help and also crashed trying to take off. Later they sent equipment to fix both, and that plane broke too. So three planes ended up stuck in the same snowy spot. Admiral Holloway was probably not having a good day.
