So Count Dooku has bugs make robots so that the Republic gets scared, and then wants to make clones to fight the robots that the bugs made. But the clones were ALREADY being made before the robots were being made by the bugs. If you’re confused, don’t be ashamed. Even the writer of the film doesn’t understand it.

Never really got how the Republic just accepted the Clone Army with little to no questions, cause from their perspective that came basically out of the blue and their original creation was ordered by ???.
If I recall, they were already at war. Then you suddenly acquire a massive army that is kinda infinite. Regular soldiers were dying to the droid army and suddenly you got an entire army made up of clones of one man. Was ot suspicious, yes. Also the Senate was full of idiots.

Obi-Wan and Anakin discuss with Palatine how they're planning a carefully-planned surprise attack on a Separatist-held world.
They launch the attack. Anti-aircraft missiles and flak fill the sky.
Obi-Wan: "It's as if they knew we were coming!"
Nobody ever looks into this.

If I recall, they were already at war. Then you suddenly acquire a massive army that is kinda infinite. Regular soldiers were dying to the droid army and suddenly you got an entire army made up of clones of one man. Was ot suspicious, yes. Also the Senate was full of idiots.
Not to say, everybody was suspicious of it. Even the idiots in the Senate.
It's not like anybody could do anything about it. The Jedi eventually launched an investigation.

But that's like if a container ship full of Tomahawk missiles was suddenly discovered in the port of LA with a bill of sale to Uncle Sam but no sender. Yeah, lucky them, they really need them, but would nobody ask questions where they came from?
