Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, The President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), delivered important messages at the ‘Higher Education Vision Meeting Towards 2030’ hosted by Izmir Katip Çelebi University.

Yağız Avcıoğlu (20), a student at Department of Business Administration, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), made a remarkable impact at the World Championship organized by the International Dance Organization (IDO) in Poland, winning three medals in the “ballet” category. 

A trio consisting of İlayda Erten, Ada Bayındır, and Öykü Karasu, musician students from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Chamber Orchestra, gave a special concert for the elderly at the nursing home, kicking off the New Year celebrations early. 

Garrison Atkisson, co-founder and CEO of broadAngle, a software company operating in the US and Izmir, and Nihatcan Çolpan, a senior software engineer and 2017 graduate of IUE, came together with 3rd-year students of the Software Engineering Department at our university and gave a seminar on December 16, 2024.

Duru Basut, a student in Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), achieved three first-place titles in the International Dance Competition (Stage 2024) hosted by Macedonia. 

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akşit, the Coordinator of the World Alliance for Digitalization in Disaster and Emergency Management (WADDEM), participated as a speaker in the seminar titled ‘Unsolvable Problems and Artificial Intelligence’ held at Izmir University of Economics (IUE).
