24 universities competed, Izmir came first
Aslı Melike Soylu, who graduated from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of English Translation and Interpretation this year, came first in the Young Translators Contest organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for European Union Affairs.

Özgün Alp Öztin, a student of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Business, had the opportunity to learn 3 foreign languages in 5 years and graduate with a double degree, and set an example for everyone with his hard work and determination.

3 dimensional ‘art’ invited to Belgium
Created by a team of 13 people from Izmir University of Economics (IUE), the ‘Dijital Darağaç’, one of Izmir's first three-dimensional virtual art museums, was selected as an exemplary project by the authorities in Belgium and invited to the world-famous Johan Verbeke International Exhibition.
