The trick is to use the back of the spoon to scoop it out! Makes spreading so much easier.

It's the recommended serving sizes that are out of touch with reality.

I used to think this was a bad idea because while objective numbers are great, it can be difficult to apply it to real life. But then manufacturers play games with serving size so it’s no more realistic than a flat 100g, so I’ll pick the more honest choice
In Germany the nutrients per 100g are mandatory, but most of the time there is nutrients per serving on there too.

Aren't the serving sizes intentionally small so they can get away with saying that stuff has less sugar?
Tic tacs have a serving size of less than a gram so they can claim 0g of sugar.

Probably to hit some magic number:
Contains 10 g of protein per serving!!^*^
^*^Serving size 10 kg
What is this, lettuce?!

A serving size of peanut butter is one.
One spoon.
One inch.
One jar.
etc.
This is why I serve my peanut butter in cheese wheel form. 1 inch thick but 18 inches wide.

Given that the most typical use is spreading it on a slice of bread, I’ll argue, no I’m not out of touch, everyone else is. When the “serving size” can’t fill the expected use case, it’s not the consumer that’s wrong
One slice is two servings, clearly.

I'm in touch with my peanut butter jar
Remember, a peanut butter jar does not have a flared base.

Half my diet was stopping eating peanut butter. The other half was drinking less. Helth
