If you cast your mind way, way back, you might recall the promising MMO project that was Stargate Worlds. Based on the hit sci-fi franchise from the ’90s and 2000s, Stargate Worlds was announced in 2006 and progressed all the way to the beta stage by 2008. Unfortunately, the collapse of studio Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment in 2010 meant the end of hopes for this MMO, even as it was nearing launch.

What a let down! I'm just rewatching the series as my girlfriend has never seen them, other than the original film.

Downloaded, logged in, the demo starts, no option to fire or punch, just stand there while the demo bad guy slowly drains your health, die, logout.
