Should aerial photos of private property become public and available online after its closure?

Like this: the aerial photograph of a military base was taken in the early 40s (during WWII) which at the time was considered classified, but if you compare satellite photos taken now: the surroundings are completely different (no signs of a former government facility) as the base closed down in the 70s then demolished. What sits there today is nothing but suburbia and a strip mall (should the photos be released even if its this old?)

It's human nature, and the nature of all life on this planet, and perhaps in the universe, to compete.

Competition leads to power, leads to paranoia, leads to fear, anger, violence, and so forth. So, we will always want to keep secrets.

Cooperation is better for everyone involved, once a species is dominate, but we can't give up our nature. That is, barring some sort of genetic reprogramming, or species wide recognition of the problem and a willingness to change--similar to Vulcans choosing logic. Of course, that's fantasy.

I don't think we'll ever resolve this problem, and my guess is this is what dooms all life in the universe before it can develop interstellar travel. The very thing that leads to intelligence is what dooms a species. Which is why we seem to be alone. We really are alone in that sense.

I'm not saying we should give in to surveillance, and give up our secrets, we can't do that. Because, we either need to ALL do it, every single human, or none of us can.

Everything should be shared freely, but most things never will be.

Aerial photos should be shared, but some won't be.
