Prof. Dr. Celalettin Kozanoğlu, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), warned about the water tanks placed on the roof of the buildings afterwards, although they are not in the original architectural project.

Berfin Kolcu, a student of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Physics, went to Hatay, where thousands of people were under the rubble after the earthquake, and rushed to the aid of the victims with her ‘bike’. 

25 students of Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) prepared products with a long shelf life, filling and nutritious value to be sent to Hatay, one of the cities most affected by the earthquake. 

After the earthquake disaster, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş and which caused destruction in 10 cities, thousands of citizens rushed to test the robustness of the building they live in. 

Prof. Dr. Celalettin Kozanoğlu, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), stated that many buildings that were destroyed in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş were destroyed due to project, material and application errors.
