Onur Okutur (24), a graduate of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Industrial Design, has designed a robot named ‘Maya’ that will protect the seniors' health and prevent them from feeling lonely. 

Making a difference with her successful work in the international arena, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysu Göçer, Lecturer at Department of Logistics Management, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), was selected as a ‘guest researcher’ to the world-renown Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. 

25 students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) came together in a 5-day workshop to develop alternative projects for shelter areas created after the earthquake.

Emrecan Durmaz, a student of Izmir University of Economics (IUE), who developed the software infrastructure that enables electric scooters and bicycles to work with the initiative he founded, called ‘Scootable’, received an investment from EIT Urban Mobility, one of the largest companies in the European Union (EU).

The Steampunk movement, which was founded in England in the 19th century and expresses the science fiction universe, became a source of inspiration for fashion designers from Izmir University of Economics.
