Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Fashion Design Department students attended to ‘Fashion Design Company ‘’which was held for the 5th time by Aegean Clothing Industrialists Association.

İpek Çalışlar, the author of ‘Latife Hanım’ and ‘Halide Edip’ which have been on the top of the best sellers’ list for a long time, a journalist, was a guest at Izmir University of Economics and talked about the writing  process of her books as well as about the role of a woman in Turkey.

The students of Izmir University of Economics, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, the Department of Inner Architecture and Environmental Design as well as the students of the Department Industrial Design are coming together in an exhibition composed of their Works accomplished in this term.

Prof Dr Seyhan Hasırcı, a Fan Expert of UEFA, who was invited by Altay Sports Club to Izmir due to the ever increasing incidents of violence in football matches in previous weeks, will be participating in a panel discussion hosted by Izmir university of Economics.

Izmir University of Economics is preparing for its 10th Anniversary of Foundation with special activities.

Having had his name known by different projects in Turkiye and having made projects of house, hotel, Office and lots of institutional projects in Izmir, Istanbul and Antalya; Alp Sahinoglu was the guest of students at Izmir University of Economics Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.

As being an international project, providing social life and cultural interaction of children by photography, exhibition of ‘Voices of Children’’ was opened. After the exhibition project partners Dr. Ros Westbrook and Associate Prof. Ian Brown the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education at Australia University of Wollongong came together with students at Izmir University of Economics.

Izmir University of Economics won two prizes very successfully in ‘The Competition of Young Communicators’ organised for the 22nd time by Aydın Doğan Foundation.

‘’Vakifbank TFMD Press Photographs of the Year 2009’’ exhibition, held by Turkiye Photo Journalists Association, is opening with host of Izmir University of Economics.

ESTIEM’s 40th general meeting, organized by the Community of European Industry and Marketing students, took place between 9-15 October in Finland where Izmir University of Economics participated in it as well.
